The project
Hauser's Coin
A self-initiated concept developed by Signal Grove to explore how a coin and precious-metals dealer could present buying, selling and appraisal with credibility. It was not commissioned.
A dealer with a real gallery is competing against pop-up gold buyers who will be gone next month, so the argument has to be the premises. This concept spends its opening on the room: the showroom and vault, the hours, the security arrangements, and the fact that there is a counter to walk up to. Underneath that sits the working part, a live metal index and a bullion evaluation calculator, so somebody can get a number before deciding to drive over. It is a single page, because a visitor deciding whether to trust a dealer should not have to navigate to do it. A concept produced here, not commissioned.

Somebody wants a number before they want a conversation. The index and the calculator sit in the flow of the page rather than behind a tool menu.
