The project

Edgewood Coin

A self-initiated concept developed by Signal Grove to explore how a coin and bullion dealer could make buying, selling and appraisal feel trustworthy from the first screen. It was not commissioned.

The inventory is the argument. Rather than describing what a dealer does, this concept puts a browsable vault at the center, with every piece carrying its grade and its reference so the catalog reads as working stock instead of a gallery. The practical details a walk-in customer needs, the address, the hours and the phone number, sit above the navigation rather than on a contact page two clicks away. Buying, selling, verbal appraisal and written appraisal are separated, because they are four different conversations with four different levels of commitment. A concept redesign produced here, not commissioned.

Structure

Four services, because they are four different conversations

Buying, selling, a free verbal appraisal and a certified written appraisal ask for very different levels of commitment, so they are not collapsed into one enquiry form.

A wide band of the Edgewood Coin concept showing its inventory grid, graded pieces each carrying a grading label and a stock number: an 1881-S Morgan silver dollar, a 1908 twenty dollar Saint-Gaudens gold piece, and an 1899 one dollar silver certificate
The vault

Graded, referenced, and priced like stock
